What an absolutely special record. One that absolutely no one thought would ever become a reality.

Brownie Mountain is 5 friends from Indiana University's music program -- Who met in college and shared a love of math rock, funky time signature's, Tim & Eric -- It was through this band that our friends and SCLTD companions Adam Beck (Into It. Over It., Recreational Drugs, Sincere Engineer, Couplet) and Logan Bloom (Recreational Drugs, Mush) met our circle of friends and creators.

This is their lost LP "Midwest Chic" -- Recorded at the legendary Echo Park studios by Matt Jordan (You Blew It!, Kittyhawk, Stay Ahead Of The Weather) and then seemingly left to the shelves after the bands sudden break up in 2016. This record never got the love or attention it deserved.

Currently there is a stream of it existing on Spotify -- But it's not the bands. Not official. With random artwork. Not the real thing.

This is the REAL DEAL. Mastered and properly presented. The precursor to what would become projects like IIOI, Recreational Drugs and more. I cannot stress how good this record is and how creative, beautiful, sometimes heavy it can get. We all saw the potential in these guys and this record / these songs are the reasons why.

We pressed 300 copies on random colored vinyl. Usually pressing plants do this and the records look like barf. Not these -- All excellent color variations and transitions. Some bright and bold, some mixed, some metallic. Every record is different. I took a picture of the one I grabbed personally. If you like that, you're going to like em all.
