This making the core lineup for their swan song CDLP released in 1999. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003ePulling influences from their surrounding social circle (this record feels like Champaign IL at that time) as well as contemporaries like Ida or The American Analog Set, \u003cstrong\u003eVery Secretary\u003c\/strong\u003e's sound wasn't as aggressive or youthful as their peers or previous works. \u003cstrong\u003eVery Secretary\u003c\/strong\u003e was able to expand on the ideas which founded The One Up Downstairs and create inviting yet introspective landscapes for listeners to be immersed in. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIt was adult. It was taking indie-emo music to a place it hadn't been to quite yet. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eTo celebrate this records 25th anniversary we have pressed this beautiful piece of work, nearly lost to the sands of time, on LP for the very first time.
